Policies & Waivers

Cancellation/No-Show Policy: 24 hours notice is required if you are unable to keep your appointment, to allow time to fill the appointment slot. In the event of a late cancellation or a no-show, you will be billed for the full amount of the reserved time. Future appointments will require pre-payment.

Payment Policy: All payments are due at the time of services rendered. Failure to pay in a timely manner will result in future appointments requiring pre-payment.

By requesting an appointment, you certify that you are the owner of this dog, or have been given authority by the owner, to have it groomed. You also give permission to the groomer to perform grooming services on the dog.

By requesting an appointment, you agree to pay the agreed upon fee for services, and any additional fees you may incur (such as flea shampoo, special handling, etc...) during the grooming process. Furthermore you agree to pay at the time of service.

In the event that a dog is matted, it will be shaved. Attempting to de-mat a coat is cruel and inhumane. You will be notified if your dog needs to be shaved, but your dog's health and comfort supersedes its appearance. Hair will grow back.

Removing a matted coat may reveal or exacerbate existing health conditions. This is the result of neglected grooming needs, and not the fault of the groomer. Any such conditions are the responsibility of the owner/caretaker.

I do not shave double coated dogs. Cutting into the undercoat is detrimental to their health. The only exceptions are in the case of vet prescribed medical necessity, or permanently damaged coat from repeated shaving by another groomer.

Superficial nicks, cuts, and scratches are an unfortunate risk of the grooming process. Every precaution is taken to avoid them, but there is no guarantee they won't occur. In the event of a wound, first aid will be applied, and you will be notified.

I love every dog as my own, and I take every precaution to safely and gently groom all dogs. However, everything comes with risks. By hiring a professional groomer, the owner accepts all risks and responsibility for any potential vet bills.

If fleas or ticks are found on any dog, a non-medicated flea and tick shampoo will be used at the owner's expense. This shampoo does not prevent re-infestation, so a vet-prescribed preventative is recommended before your next grooming appointment.

Senior dogs are fragile and often lose their ability to tolerate the grooming process. They will be groomed to their level of comfort in order to avoid unnecessary stress or injury, and may not look as perfect as they once did. This is normal.

Puppies must be trained to tolerate the grooming process. Their coats often change as they mature. Due to these factors, your puppy may not come out looking the way you imagined. Regular grooming will help with this. This is normal.

I do not groom pregnant dogs. The grooming process can be too stressful for them, and that stress can cause harm to the mother or her puppies. You accept responsibility for any outcome, should you fail to report a dog's pregnancy.
